  Occupational Medical Examinations

EDPM offers a wide variety of physical examinations through our alliance and network   partners that can be customized to satisfy the regulatory requirements relating to your   company's industry. The following are some examples of current physical examination   categories we provide:

  Department of Transportation (DOT) Physicals

  Regulated Medical Certifications and Re-certifications

The Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires that most of the   commercial vehicle operators on the road today be certified by a medical examiner.  To   obtain this certification, a physical examination is performed.  We can also help your   company prepare for future federal mandates for DOT physical.

Custom Pre-Placement, Annual or Intermittent Physical Examinations

EDPM  helps you design a physical examination that meets your company's

regulatory and/or internal requirements.  Available to your company are comprehensive

physical examinations, urinalysis, applicable blood work, audiometry (hearing testing)

  and other services.

On-the-Job Injury Evaluation, Treatment and Rehabilitation

With an effective occupational health program in place, an organization has the ability to

further its economic goals.  This can best be expressed by the simple fact that costs of

injuries and disease in the workplace are directly proportionate to workers’

  compensation premiums.

Under Alabama law, workers who are injured at the workplace or in the course of

employment will be tested for drugs and alcohol and, if impaired, will not be paid

benefits under the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Law.

  Health Promotion Programs

Through our alliance partners, EDPM can help your company either develop a new   Health Promotion Program or improve an existing program.  Besides offering guidance   on health promotion development and management, EDPM can provide instructors for   courses such as stress management, smoking cessation, disease screening, physical   fitness, substance abuse, nutrition programs, herbal remedies and AIDS/HIV education.    We can also assist in arranging cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) courses.

Each year we offer the latest influenza vaccinations that can be administered anytime at

EDPM or at your company’s office with the proper time notification.  Our main focus

is to help your company maintain and educate a healthy workforce through an active

  Health Promotion Program.
