Current Partners
EDPM partners with leading companies and organizations across a number of different industries to provide our clients (and our partner clients) with value-added services. Today more clients are looking to create single-source solutions. Through strategic alliances, EDPM and our partners are able to deliver these solutions. Our partnerships cover a number of key service sectors, including EAP programs, background screening solutions, occupational medicine, and athletic/educational testing.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Services
American Behavioral Benefits Managers (ABBM) and EDPM formed an alliance in March 2006, enabling clients of both companies to have access to a broader range of employer services. As a nationwide EAP provider serving more than 800,000 individuals, ABBM helps employees to cope with personal and family issues that may affect their work performance and assists managers to identify and address such behavior. As EDPM CEO Chuck Ash noted, the ABBM alliance offers "valuable additional resources to the 2,800 client companies that rely on EDPM to protect their employees from drug and alcohol abuse."
Background Screening Services
The EDPM-Premier partnership has been in place since 2004, and thrives because of both companies’ focus on delivering full service solutions to clients. Premier’s approach to background screening is unique, serving as an “integration agent”. With Premier’s proprietary technology, they can seamlessly integrate multiple solutions, ranging from drug testing to broader HR solutions.
Since 2007, Quality Counts has been offering EDPM clients background screening services. As a nationwide, full-service provider of pre-employment screening and background investigation services, Quality Counts, Inc. specializes in customized screening solutions. Their focus on personalized client service aligns well with the needs of EDPM clients.
Occupational Health Services
The Alabama Center for Occupational Medicine & Prevention, P.C. (Alabama Comp) is a comprehensive occupational medicine facility serving central Alabama and has been an EDPM alliance partner since 2006. Owned and operated by one of Alabama’s leading occupational medicine physicians, Dr. Bruce W. Romeo, Alabama Comp offers EDPM clients with preferred rates and services ranging from DOT physicals and drug screen collections to workers compensation-related injury evaluation and treatment.
Athletics and Education
The SMART Institute (Sports Medicine and Athletic Related Trauma) is a regional center for the advancement of sports medicine created to protect recreational, high school, college and professional athletes. It encompasses education, injury surveillance, women’s programs, and the comprehensive care of the athletes.
Through our relationship with Dr. Larry Lemak and the SMART Institute, EDPM is able to raise community awareness on drug testing in athletics, a critical aspect of promoting the safety of athletes throughout the Southeast. EDPM is committed to the health and well-being of athletes at all levels. As a member of the SMART Institute, EDPM’s role will be to serve as the premier drug screen provider for athletes and school systems throughout the state of Alabama.
EDPM is a proud supporter of high school athletics in the state of Alabama. For over a decade, EDPM has managed testing programs for student-athletes in high schools throughout the state. Currently, EDPM manages the student testing programs for nearly 30 high schools statewide. Through our partnership with the AHSADCA, we are now able to offer hundreds of schools the opportunity to learn how to build, fund, and implement an effective student drug testing program at the high school and middle school levels.
In March of 2008, EDPM partnered with Sports Medicine Innovations, a startup company that focuses on unique approaches to injury prevention and treatment of athletic injuries from high school to the professional ranks. The founder of the company, Mayfield Armstrong, is the former Head Athletic Trainer for NFL Europe and is a member of the Louisiana Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame. EDPM’s partnership with SMI has brought several exciting new opportunities in the arena of major college athletic departments and professional sports leagues. Through our work with SMI, EDPM aims to promote overall health and fair play at the highest levels of athletic competition through substance abuse testing and education.
